CellChorus named a BioTools Innovator finalist

Top five companies to present on October 13 at the BioTools Innovator Capstone event during the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa

HOUSTON, Texas & SAN CARLOS, Calif. — October 7, 2022 — CellChorus®, the leader in applying artificial intelligence to visually evaluate how individual cells perform over time, has been named a finalist in the BioTools Innovator Accelerator. The five finalists will present on October 13 at the BioTools Innovator Capstone event.

BioTools Innovator is the first accelerator focused on life science tools and diagnostics to advance cutting-edge research and improve human health. Fourteen companies were selected to participate in the BioTools Innovator Accelerator, which prominently features best-in-class life science startups from around the world. Five finalists were selected from this group by representatives from leading life sciences companies and investors.

Reviewers and experts that participated in BioTools Innovator pitch events included representatives from Agilent, Alira Health, Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), Broad Oak Capital Partners, Danaher, Draper, Eppendorf, Hackensack Meridian Health, Illumina Ventures, InDevR, Johnson & Johnson Innovation, MilliporeSigma, Mira Life Science Ventures, Nissan Chemical America Corporation, Northpond Ventures, Research Corporation Technologies, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Tosoh USA, Teknova, VC23 and others.

The Capstone event is co-located with the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa taking place at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort & Spa. The Capstone event showcases the 14 best-in-class life science companies selected out of over 160 applications to participate in the BioTools Innovator 2022 Accelerator. In addition to startup presentations, the event includes panel discussions with industry experts, and a final competition of five finalists from the program.
